Kim il Sung toasts Chairman Mao, one of the people he turned to most.
Chairman Mao, one of history's biggest frauds and most prolific mass murderers has been in the news a lot lately, as Obama Administration officials can't seem to control their admiration for the man.
One of those officials, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has famously declared war on Fox News, and has blocked Administration officials from doing interviews with Fox News.
Now it turns out that when it comes to Fox News, North Korea is more open than the Obama White House.
This week, Greta van Susteren of Fox News ran a story about a trip she took with the Rev. Franklin Graham to North Korea, a place where Maoism has had a real—and deadly—effect. Greta accurately calls it "the most secretive nation on earth."
The Norkos granted Greta an interview with their Foreign Minister—essentially their Secretary of State. I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing Hillary on Bill O'Reilly any time soon…
Maybe the Obama Administration should take one piece of Mao's advice, and "let a hundred flowers blossom." (often misquoted as "let a thousand flowers bloom.")
On second thought, maybe not. Mao made that proclamation in order to sucker dissidents out into the open, so that he could crack down on them later during the bloodbath known as The Cultural Revolution.
So, here's a quote from MY favorite political philosopher, George Washington. "If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."
"Dumb and silent"– that best describes how the Obama types like their media.
